The worst place to be a blogger

A colleague of mine sent me a link to this news story this evening - CNN reporting on the worst places to be a blogger.  This article was published to call attention to World Press Freedom Day, last Sunday and describes how some authorities attack a few bloggers to "intimidate the rest of the online community into silence or self-censorship" as they try to "roll back the information revolution".

In complete contrast to this article was another one sent to me today by a different colleague:  the Mashable social media report about Facebook counting as free speech.  The New York Times has also reported that companies that have social media policies that prohibit employees making negative remarks online are in violation of labour laws that protect employees rights to talk about things like wages or working conditions.
