A World-wide Audience

On the Stats part of my blog I have a tab called Audience.  I sometimes find it interesting to click on this to see who is reading my blog and where in the world they are.  If someone had asked me to predict who would be interested in my blog, I would probably have said teachers in English speaking countries:  the USA, the UK, Australia, Canada and so on, and maybe teachers in international schools around the world (many of whom would also be American, British, Canadian or Australian).  And the statistics do support this - partly.  About half the readers of my blog are located in the United States, but I also have a large number from countries that I wouldn't have expected - for example I have as many readers from South Korea as from the UK and almost as many from India, Russia, Brazil and Germany.  I have no idea who these people are, whether or not they are teachers working in international schools, or whether they are teachers working in local schools, or whether they are not teachers at all - however I would love to know - and if you are one of these readers, I would love to hear from you.

Wherever you are - I wish you all a Happy New Year.
